“Capturing nature’s details, one brushstroke at a time”
30" x 40" x 1.5" Spray paint and oil on canvas. A single pine cone represents so much; rebirth, serenity, regeneration and for me, the Northern Canadian landscape. When I see this piece, I smell and feel the calm beauty of the forest. The cone, in all its monochromatic glory has been pushed to the forefront by the pop of colour on the needles. Foraged pine branches are spray painted in the background while the detailed cone is done in oil in the foreground.
