This piece is all about feeling like you have been transported into the forest. 
It has texture from actual spruce needles that are embedded in the paint.  Mother nature has provided the background stencils as paint has been sprayed over spruce boughs.  A detailed image of the spruce cone is painted with oils over top.  This piece goes well as a triptych with Through The Forest and Deep In The Forest.
